STARPCS.NET Warranty Policies
• Two year parts/labor warranty on Asus powered laptops & PDA’s (A
Starpcs.net Exclusive Offer).
• One year parts and labor warranty on products other than
laptops. Manufacturers warranty may exceed this warranty.
• Partner level dealer may replace memory, processor and hard
drive otherwise unit must be returned.
STARPCS.NET warrants all New STARPCS.NET assembled Computers to be
free from defects in materials or workmanship under normal use
during the warranty period as noted above or on the original sales
invoice. The warranty period commences on the date of invoice. The
warranty extends only to you, the original Purchaser, and is not
transferable. This Limited Warranty is valid only within the
United States.
If a defect exists, at its option STARPCS.NET will (1) Repair the
Computer Product at no charge, using new or refurbished
replacement parts, or (2) Exchange the Computer Product with a
Computer Product that is new or which has been manufactured from
new or serviceable used parts and is at least functionally
equivalent to the original Computer Product. Repair or Exchange
will be made at no additional charge to the customer. Following
Repair or Exchange, the resulting Computer Product will retain
only the balance of the original warranty period that commenced
from the date of invoice of the original Computer Product.
Before you deliver your Computer Product for Limited Warranty
service it is your responsibility to keep a separate backup copy
of the system software, application software and data, and to
disable any security passwords. You will be responsible for
reinstalling all such software, data and passwords. Data recovery
is not included under this Limited Warranty, and STARPCS.NET is
not responsible for data that may be lost or damaged during
transit or repair.
Obtaining Warranty Service
To obtain warranty service for STARPCS.NET Personal Computer
Products, you must first call STARPCS.NET at 888-287-6723. The
telephone representative will provide further information,
including shipping instructions, if appropriate.
DOA (Dead On Arrival) Return Policy
Purchaser must call RMA department immediately to get an RMA
number for return. STARPCS.NET reserves the right to inspect and
test all DOA merchandise. No replacement or exchange if the
returned merchandise has been tested and found that it meets
manufacturer's specifications. No replacement or exchange if the
returned merchandise was damaged due to misuse, either abuse or
negligence.
Credit Policy
All opened software sales and extended warranty are final.
STARPCS.NET will not refund money or exchange any software
purchased that is opened. The following conditions must be
satisfied should a credit be issued: Merchandise needs to be
returned within 7 days from the original invoice date. Due to
constant price changes, CPUs and memory modules will not be
accepted for credit or refund after seven 7 days. Merchandise must
be original package and condition, including all accessories and
manuals. There will be a charge for missing or damaged parts. A
15% restocking fee will be charged for all returned merchandise
that meets manufacturer or P.O.'s specifications.
Warranty Programs and Technical Service do not include:
Repair and/or replacement of Computer Products or Components
damaged by shipment, misuse, accident, modification or attempted
repairs by anyone other than STARPCS.NET , unsuitable physical or
operating environments, improper maintenance, intentional misuse
of products, tampering or removal of STARPCS.NET serial numbers,
failures caused by a product for which STARPCS.NET is not
responsible, intentional misuse of equipment by the customer, as
well as acts of God including but not limited to floods,
lightning, earthquakes, hurricanes, and tornadoes.
THIS WARRANTY AND REMEDIES SET FORTH ABOVE ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN
LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, REMEDIES AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER
ORAL OR WRITTEN, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. STARPCS.NET SPECIFICALLY
DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT
LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IF STARPCS.NET CANNOT LAWFULLY DISCLAIM
IMPLIED WARRANTIES UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, ALL SUCH
WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS
FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION
OF THIS WARRANTY. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED
WARRANTIES, SO THIS LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. STARPCS.NET
RESPONSIBILITY FOR MALFUNCTIONS AND DEFECTS IN HARDWARE AND
ACCESSORIES IS LIMITED TO REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS SET FORTH
ABOVE. THESE WARRANTIES GIVE YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY
ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.
STARPCS.NET IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR
CONDITION, OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT
LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, DOWNTIME, GOODWILL, DAMAGE TO OR
REPLACEMENT OF EQUIPMENT AND PROPERTY, ANY COSTS OF RECOVERING,
REPROGRAMMING, OR REPRODUCING ANY PROGRAM OR DATA STORED IN OR
USED WITH STARPCS.NET PRODUCTS, AND ANY FAILURE TO MAINTAIN THE
CONFIDENTIALITY OF DATA STORED ON THE PRODUCT. STARPCS.NET
SPECIFICALLY DOES NOT REPRESENT THAT IT WILL BE ABLE TO REPAIR ANY
PRODUCT UNDER THIS WARRANTY OR MAKE A PRODUCT EXCHANGE WITHOUT
RISK TO OR LOSS OF PROGRAMS OR DATA. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE
EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO
THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Return Policy:
Pocket PCs, Monitors, Wireless Devices, Accessories:
Within 15 days of purchase you may return an item in opened, but
new condition minus a 15% restocking fee off the merchandise
itself. All packaging, materials, books, disks, etc must be
returned in as new condition or return rights will be denied.
Notebooks / Desktops:
Anything you need to customize a computer system, (ie: notebooks
and desktops) cannot be returned for any reason. The reason
they are "custom" is because they are built just for you, as you
requested. If there shall be a manufacturers defect, it will be
covered under the warranty. Star reserves the right to repair or
replace per manufactures guidelines.
Barebones:
Any system sold without an operating system or in pieces is
considered a barebone. Barebone units are not returnable for any
reason, however, if a problem arises within 30 days of purchase
which is deemed a manufacturers defect, it will be fixed or
exchanged for the identical unit. Manufacturers warranty applies
after 30 days.
